Meter is very hyper displaying the immature ways of a child. She refers to everyone either as Sissy or Brother unless she doesn’t like them for which she calls them Hades. She loves hanging around her ‘family’ and is known to sit in the laps of other ring leaders and some of the performers. She gets excited about going to see the animals (even though they are her’s) and she gets bored and pouts. She tends to throw temper tantrums when she doesn’t get her way and has to be reprimanded. She hates cages and other tools of confinement (shackles, chains, cages, blinds) and tends to cry and have a fit until it’s removed. As such she forbids them in her circus. She will occasionally talk in riddles that have greek mythological and roman mythology hints and often speaks of ‘the tent’s voice’ in her head. She loves to be overly affectionate and will often see if she can't ride on the shoulders of those around.

The truth of the little ringleader's past recently came to life to show she was the offsping of the lord of the underworld Hades and his beloved Persephone. Due to complications she died while in the womb but due to being the child of gods she continued to live in another existence. Long before her 'birth' her mother had taken a mortal flesh and lived among the mortals only being visited once upon a moon by her husband. Her father wouldn't acknowledge the little girl who seemed to grow up near her mother despite never living. He gave her the soul gem on her 12th birthday as a way to hold a flesh form by controlling the souls of the dead. While showing her the underworld she was possessed by the sweet whispering of Jessica Moore who was bound in the darkest pits. She wandered to the circus and seeing as she was his daughter Hades transferred Morte's job to his daughter.

Demeter was put in charge of the circus by her father when she was 12 years of age for a person of her species; She learned all the tricks of fixing it up and creating living dolls from the voices of the tent. She even opened the temporal distortion to allow new members in all by the coaxing of the voices. She lived happily with false memories until the recent year when the original owner returned. She has started to withdraw herself recently and has been appearing and vanishing in trance like states.

Demeter is a Demi god and yet not a god at all due to her unnatural existence of never being born yet still growing up.
